Richard has close to 20 years of experience in China-related cross-border M&A and joint venture transactions in a wide range of sectors, including automotive, consumer, healthcare, mining and real estate. Richard also regularly advises on matters involving cybersecurity and data privacy compliance.

>  RCS Group Co., Ltd. on the US$136.77m disposal of the Dairy Queen and Papa John's food and beverage operations in China

>  Sanofi on its consumer healthcare joint venture with Hangzhou Minsheng Pharmaceutical

>  Takeda Pharmaceuticals on its disposal of its interest in a Chinese biopharmaceutical joint venture for US$280m

>  Linde on its divestment of assets in mainland China as part of Praxair merger remedies

>  China Merchants on its strategic investment in Shanghai International Port Group, Zhanjiang Port and the port integration project of Liaoning Province

>  Shandong Iron and Steel Group on its US$1.5bn acquisition of a 25% stake in the Tonkolili iron ore mine project in Sierra Leone and the subsequent acquisition of the entire interest in the project through an enforcement sale process
